Can you believe this:

Al-Qaeda websites on Thursday were swamped with messages from people who were celebrating the devastating Mumbai attacks which have left over 100 people dead and 281 injured. “Oh Allah, destroy the Hindus and do it in the worst of ways,” was one of the comments that appeared on Islamist forums on the Internet immediately after the attacks.

“The battle that is underway in Mumbai is a battle for Allah between its servants and the infidels,” said another message published on the al-Falluja forum. (AKI)

The mayhem in Mumbai had barely subsided when I received the first e-mail suggesting the terrorist attacks had been carried out by agents of Mossad — Israel’s military intelligence — masquerading as Islamic terrorists to give Muslims a bad name.

A writer from Toronto forwarded a news item claiming, “India’s Internal Security Police are now holding and questioning an identified Israeli Mossad agent, who had been in communication with some of the alleged terrorists in India two weeks before the BLACK OP attacks took place.”

As ridiculous as this may sound, chances are countless Muslims are deluding themselves into believing that it is not their coreligionists who are responsible for the savagery let loose on India, but some hidden hand that is part of a U.S.-Zionist conspiracy against Islam.If at all there was an intelligence agency whose finger prints can be spotted all over the crime scene, it appears to be Islamist rogue elements from the Pakistan ISI, hell-bent on disrupting a marked improvement in India’s relations with neighboring Pakistan. Hamas lawless militias attacked Gaza pilgrims and beat them with clubs and gun ends before they were able to reach Rafah border crossing en route to Saudi Arabia for carrying out  the pilgrimage duty.

Injuries count to thirteen up till now.

Hamas lawless militias prevented media and journalists from covering their attacks against pilgrims.

I wonder the media is not complaining about this…

The Mumbai operation is a message to President-elect Barack Obama to say: you have dreams of a better world but this is the real world that you must deal with. In spite of how you have arranged your priorities, terrorism will always be at the top of the list.

The problem of terrorism does not only afflict the country in which it exists; the danger lies in ignoring it. For the countries that believe that they are distant from the issue of terrorism, it will soon catch up with them; in fact it is on their doorstep. The danger of what is happening in India, Pakistan and Afghanistan is that it is concentrated in a region in which ignorance, tribalism and nuclear weapons come together.

Not much of a difference since Muslim extremists have not been known to have drawn much of a distinction between Israelis and Jews in general in the past. The question is arising who is behind the Attacks in Mumbai. Is it Al-Qaida? The fact that the terrorists traveled to Mumbai by boat; that they numbered about sixty; that they had large quantities of weapons; and that they had been able to mount a coordinated attack on at least nine targets, all points to a global jihad operation. But their is no solid proof right now.

Certainly, the terrorists appeared to be Muslim extremists. Although they must have assumed they were going to be killed even though they took hostages, the attackers were not suicide bombers, overt martyrs of the kind we have witnessed elsewhere - in London, Iraq, and now in Afghanistan - since the 9/11 attacks on the US.

By the way, did you know that the area where the attack took place is called the Mumbai World Trade Center?!

Amazing how the church has persecuted Jews for centuries, killed them and was silent during the holocaust, but now THEY need our protection. Money talks and history may always be forgotten.

Wait a minute. People die of hunger, civil wars in thousands around the globe, UN is watching this passively… The crisis hit the poorest badly, and UN spends - whose money? - on anti-Israel witchhunt? Why are there no funds and means for good dedds? Why is there always a lot of money when it comes to anti-US and anti-Israel activities?

In order to stop Tehran from developing a nuclear bomb, the Israeli army is preparing itself for a possible military strike on Iran. “We are ready to do whatever is demanded of us,” Israeli Air Force Major General Ido Nehushtan tells SPIEGEL in an exclusive interview.

SPIEGEL: What does the Iranian nuclear program mean for the Israeli Air Force?

Nehushtan: The Iranian regime ist not only a problem for the Air Force or the State of Israel. It is a problem for the entire free world. It is shameful that 70 years after the Reichskristallnacht (Night of Broken Glass) there are still heads of state who call for the destruction of our people.
History teaches us that we have to take those announcements seriously. And we take them very seriously.

SPIEGEL: Will a military strike take place if the international sanctions do not prevent Iran from building a nuclear bomb?

Nehushtan: This is a political decision. But if I understand it correctly, all options are on the table.

SPIEGEL: The Israeli Air Force is ready for it?

Nehushtan: The Air Force is a very robust and flexible force. We are ready to do whatever is demanded of us.

SPIEGEL: Iran’s nuclear facilities are spread around the country and are partly located underground. Is it even technically possible to destroy them?

Nehushtan: Please understand that I do not want to get into details. I can only say this: It is not a technical or logistical question.

SPIEGEL: Is technology the main advantage that the Israelis have over their enemies?

Nehushtan: Modern technology is one thing, but the biggest advantage we have is our soldiers and officers. Israel is a small country. We neither have a big population nor natural resources. Our biggest asset is our human resources. And it is the Air Force that makes best use of it.

SPIEGEL: What is your biggest challenge in cooperation between the Air Force and those on the ground?

Nehushtan: We have to interlock the various forces more with each other. The Air Force, for example, must better support the ground forces. That is a lesson we learned from the Lebanon War in 2006.

SPIEGEL: In 2006 the Israeli army attacked mainly Hezbollah positions in southern Lebanon or south Beirut. Will that change the next time?

Nehushtan: In any case, Hezbollah has been part of the Lebanese government since this spring. It is not a fringe terror organization — it is supported by the state. Militarily, Hezbollah is stronger than the regular Lebanese army. If they attack us, we might react differently.

SPIEGEL: Dozens of rockets could reach Israeli soil without problem; the same is true for the Qassam rockets being made in the Gaza Strip. Why hasn’t Israel developed more effective protection against these weapons?

Nehushtan: Each type of rocket requires a different defense system. Up until today, only the “Arrow” System, is functioning. It can intercept ballistic missiles. In order to defend ourselves against the short-range rockets of Hamas and Hezbollah, we are building the “Iron Dome” system. In response to the threat of medium-range rockets, we are developing a system called “David’s Sling”. This is all very expensive. It is like an insurance policy: You pay a lot, even if nothing happens.But if something then does happen, then you are satisfied with the investment.
